Prayer for My Church
Father, in Jesus’ name, my church is a Christ-exalting congregation, generous and willing to share, knowing the grace of Christ. We fulfill the Great Commission in our local community by witnessing, serving, making disciples, baptizing, and teaching. As we do so, we know that Christ will be with us and cause us to multiply. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Scripture Affirmations
My church is built on the immovable rock of faith in Christ, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. (Matthew 16:18)
My church continues daily with one accord, breaking bread from house to house, eating together with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord adds to the church daily those who are being saved. (Acts 2:46-47)
I think about my brothers and sisters in Christ in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of myself with them, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as we see the Day approaching. (Hebrews 10:24-25)
As each believer contributes to the effective working of the whole body, I willingly join myself to my local church, becoming a functioning part of the body of Christ. (Ephesians 4:16)
On the Day of Pentecost the believers were with one accord in one place when the Holy Spirit fell. I will not break God’s pattern by trying to receive His best blessings in isolation from the Church built by Jesus. (Acts 2:1, Matthew 16:18)
My church continues steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. (Acts 2:42)
By speaking the truth in love, my church grows up in all things into Him who is our head—Christ—from whom our whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint (member) supplies, according to the effective working by which every part (person) does its share, causes our body to grow and be healthy, full of love. (Ephesians 4:15–16)
Unless the Lord builds my church, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain. (Psalm 127:1)
