Prayer Calling on the Lord’s Faithfulness
Father, thank You for Your faithfulness and for keeping covenant and mercy with those who love You and keep Your commandments. I have placed my trust in Your Word and know You will be faithful in upholding it. Even when I do not understand everything going on around me, I know one thing: You are a covenant-keeping, faithful God who will never leave me nor forsake me. Plus, you always have my best interests at heart. In Jesus’ name, I thank You. Amen.
I know that the Lord my God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with me who loves Him and keeps His commandments. (Deuteronomy 7:9 )
Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed,
Because His compassions fail not.
They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness…to me. (Lamentations 3:22-23)
Your mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens;
Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.
Your righteousness is like the great mountains;
Your judgments are a great deep;
O Lord, You preserve man and beast. (Psalm 36:5-6)
I will trust in the Lord, and do good;
I will dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. (Psalm 37:3)
As Your faithfulness and mercy were with King David, and in Your name he was strengthened, so I will trust Your faithfulness and mercy to be with me and strengthen me. (Psalm 89:24)
As the Lord has remembered His mercy and faithfulness to the house of Israel, and all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God, so I will put my trust and faith in Him. (Psalm 98:3)
Therefore, in all things Jesus was made like us His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things to God. He made a full and sufficient propitiation for my sins and never fails to intercede on my behalf. (Hebrews 2:17, 7:25)
