Romans 8–Twenty Wonderful Promises

By Michael Christian

Recently, our Bible study small group went through Romans 8. What an awesome chapter! It begins with the best news ever, “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1) That’s certainly good news for those of us who have discovered we are far from perfect. But verse one is just the beginning. Here are Twenty Wonderful Promises that are personalized so you can apply their truths to your heart while you say them aloud.

Twenty Wonderful Promises from Romans 8

  3. The Holy Spirit gives life to my mortal body.
  4. The Holy Spirit leads me and guides me as His Son or Daughter.
  5. I no longer fear God as a Judge, because the Holy Spirit has let me know that I can come to Him as my Father, even calling Him “Abba” or Daddy.

  7. I possess untold spiritual riches because I am an heir of God and a joint-heir with Jesus.
  8. I eagerly wait in hope and perseverance for the redemption of my body.
  9. The Holy Spirit intercedes with me, for me, in me, and through me.
  10. By praying in the Holy Spirit, joining together with the Spirit, I can pray the perfect will of God.

  18. Nothing can separate me from the love of God.
  19. I am victorious and more than a conqueror through Him who loved me.
  20. Neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor demons, nor present circumstances, nor future circumstances, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, is able to separate me from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
